Center Panel Profiles

It is an option to specify nearly any center panel into most of our mitered profiles or stile and rail profiles. If there is an engineering or design conflict we will advise you before manufacture. Beside each center panel profile we have listed standard door designs that use that panel. Click on the door name to visit some of our recommended door designs.

Center Panels - For Applied Mouldings

These center panels are designed with extra long tongues which provide extra dimension for panel moulding. These deep tongues result in well scaled and ornate door styles that can only be produced with our very large cutting heads. Door designs using these panels are unique, uncommon and result in a door that is clearly top-of-the-line.

Center Panels - Grooved

Grooved center panels are 3/8" thick (9.5mm) and are available in solid wood or MDF for painted doors. The grooves are 2" on center as standard but they can be custom spaced if required. Grooved drawers require vertical grain direction so that the grooves are aligned with the grain of the wood. Each center panel is layed out by hand so grooves are always centered between the stiles. This ensures that stacked doors of the same width, or a drawer above a door of the same width will always have the grooves aligned.
